Pastured-Raised Chicken:
BalsamGardens rotates its chickens through nice green pasture or spent garden beds. In a pasture-raised chicken share you will receive 2 fresh whole chickens per month from May – September. Our chickens weigh between 3-6 lbs. and you will pick up the birds at the first farmers market of your choosing each month.
Total cost for the chicken share is $140.
Pork: Balsam Gardens raises it’s pigs outdoors in the pasture and woods throughout the summer and on deep bedding in the barn during the winter. This ensures that our pigs have the ability to dig, root, and play like pigs deserve. In a pork share you will receive approximately 40 lbs. of mixed pork cuts including pork chops, ribs, fresh bacon, pork chops, shoulder roast, breakfast sausage, and a variety of link sausages. Pick up is at the farm in one distribution. Deposit is $50. We have shares available on a regular basis. Contact us to find out when the next pigs will be ready. We cycle pigs through all year and have shares available much of the time.

Pasture Raised Turkey: By far our most popular meat share! Balsam Gardens raises its Turkeys on pasture for 4 months. Finished weight can range from 10-20+ lbs; cost is $4.00/lb. Pick up is at the farm the week of Thanksgiving. Deposit is $20.
